Congratulations

2019: Lieutenant Colonel Nate “Shadow” Maertens. His novel efforts spearheading Air Force core engagement in physiology research led directly to ground-breaking achievements in understanding T-6 unexplained physiologic events; efforts which were lauded by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force. Lt Col Maertens also went above and beyond in establishing the 711th Human Performance Wing’s first Aerospace Physiology Research Consortium and in enhancing Physiology education through innovative web-based tool development.
